About Me
Hello there! My name is Katherine and I’m a jewellery designer and maker. I predominantly work with polymer clay and resin, but admittedly am a bit of a magpie and get easily excited about working with new materials and exploring new ideas!
I live in Gloucestershire with my husband and very energetic toddler and launched my little business in Spring 2020, the month after the National lockdown was announced. It has been quite the rollercoaster since launching in more ways than one, but making crafts and hadmade jewellery (or as I like to think of it, ‘wearable art’!) has been a large part of what’s kept me motivated through all these crazy times.
I’m originally from Wales and grew up immersed in countryside and creativity, finding any excuse to be involved with pottery, art and design. I studied Fashion design alongside my GCSE’S and spent most of my evenings sketching designs and attempting to make my own clothes and jewellery.
Fast forward to now and I’m still finding ways to be immersed in creativity and it’s been a dream come true to work doing something I am so passionate about and enjoy doing so much. Every time I make a piece of jewellery, it is made with a little spark of joy and that same excited feeling of Katherine at 14, day dreaming of being a designer.
All my handmade products are made and assembled in my home studio, in the evening when the little one is in bed and the moon is out. This is where my business name was born: Moon and Made.
